Our camera watches over Turtle Island around the clock. Every time something moves โ a turtle hauling out, a bird dropping in โ it snaps a photo. Here are the latest sightings.

Turtle Island is an artificial floating wetland — a buoyant, planted raft anchored out on the water and planted with native rushes and sedges. It’s an ideal spot for turtles to bask, and birds can use it as a safe haven to roost, out of reach of land-based predators. Beneath the surface, the plants’ root systems help filter the water — taking up excess nutrients and trapping sediment — while also sheltering and acting as a nursery for small fish.
